Privacy

What we collect

• Account: email address, username, optional display name, date of birth.
• Under 18: a parent or guardian's email and their consent.
• Chess: games, moves, move times, results and rating.
• Fair play: when you switch away from the game tab during a tournament game.
• Payments: handled by Razorpay. We store the order and payment reference, never your card or bank login.
• Prize winners only: name on PAN, PAN, and UPI or bank details for payouts and tax.

Why

To run tournaments, pay prizes, meet tax law, keep games fair and keep your account secure. We do not sell your data. We do not show targeted ads to anyone under 18 or track them for advertising.

Who can see it

Your username, rating and results are public. Everything else is visible only to you and the small team that runs payments and fair play. Data is stored with Supabase and processed by Netlify, Razorpay and Resend under contracts that protect it.

Visit counts and sponsors

We count page visits with a cookie-free tool that does not identify you. When you tap a sponsor banner we count the click (not who clicked) and send you to the sponsor's website, whose own privacy policy then applies. We never sell or share your personal data with sponsors.

How long

Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of closing it. Payment and tax records are kept for 8 years, as Indian law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw consent, by emailing [privacy email]. Parents can do this for their child. Our grievance officer is [name, email].
